What is a zine?
A fanzine, or simply zine, is a fan-created publication. It is a collaborative collection of original, fanmade work inspired by a theme. It is comprised of written works, artworks, merchandise and other content. It can be in physical or digital form, or both.What is this zine about?
This zine will be about the world and characters of Angel Beats! This includes the manga in addition to the anime.Will this zine include spoilers?
By the nature of having a generalized zine for a series, spoilers are expected and allowed, from both the manga and the anime.What will be the content rating of this zine?
PG-13 and strictly SFW! Canon typical violence and language will be allowed. Suggestive content will not be allowed due to the vague ages of the characters. This goes for the content within the Discord server as well.Will this zine feature any ships?
Ships will be allowed, but we would like to emphasize that this zine is not focused on ships and therefore would like ships to remain a little more subtle. (Ex: Illustrations of characters holding hands where the main focus isn't their hand holding or fics where a character refers to another as their partner would be okay. Art or writing where the main focus is the ship is not allowed.)Will this zine feature any headcanons or AUs?
Yes! Headcanons and AUs will be accepted as long as characters remain recognizable.Is this zine going to be digital or physical?
This will be a FREE digital zine.
We will possibly be making limited physical merch for purchase! Profits would be donated to charity, which is TBD. We would offer shipping to any country that USPS is able to deliver to.Is there an age requirement for mods and contributors?
Yes. We ask that mods be at least 16 years old by time contributor applications end. We also ask that contributors be 13 years old by time contributor applications end to comply with Discord's TOS.How will contributors be compensated?
Due to this zine being free, no profits will be made. Contributors who apply must understand that this is a passion project and there will be no monetary compensation.
If revenue allows for it, contributors can receive the physical merch for free. Otherwise, they will be able to purchase at cost.How many contributors will be in the zine?
Free zines have much less of a restriction on the amount of contributors that can be accepted since there will be no worry about printing and page counts. There is no definitive number of contributors that will be accepted - it is entirely up to however many the mod team believes we will be able to moderate without issue.Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes! You are also able to be accepted more than one role.Will mods be able to contribute?
Yes, as long as it doesn't interfere with their mod duties!How many pieces can a contributor make?
As said before, there is no restriction on the page count, so there is also no hard limit on the amount of pieces a contributor can make. As long as you are able to create quality work within the creation period, create as many pieces as you'd like! All accepted contributors will have what will be called their "main piece" and that piece should always take priority.Am I required to have prior zine experience to apply?
Absolutely not! This zine will be very beginner friendly.When can contributors post their work?
Contributors will be able to post their work the day that the zine is officially released.Will contributors still own the work they submit to the zine?
Of course! Once the zine releases, contributors are free to do whatever they wish with their work.

Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES
❥ No form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc. will be allowed. You are expected to treated everyone involved in the project with respect.
❥ No depictions of sexual content (explicit and implied) will be allowed.
❥ Violence and vulgar language must be kept within canon limits.
❥ Do not share any WIPs or previews until given the okay to do so.
❥ All pieces must be original and made for the zine. Using old pieces will not be allowed.
❥ AI work is NOT allowed under any circumstances. Anybody found to be using AI generated work will be removed.
❥ Contributors must have a Discord account and be reachable through it. If we aren't able to keep in contact with you, you WILL be dropped from the zine.
❥ All contributors are expected to keep up with the schedule and contact a mod if an extension is needed.MOD GUIDELINES
❥ Head Mod - In charge of making sure the zine runs smoothly overall. Will choose the mods, have a hand in choosing the contributors, send out the appropriate emails while retaining applicants' privacy, advertise and run the social media pages, and work closely with all other mods.
❥ Art Mod - In charge of evaluating and/or supporting artist applicants and/or contributors.
❥ Writing Mod - In charge of evaluating and/or supporting writer applicants and/or contributors.
❥ Formatting Mod - In charge of making sure all contributor submissions are formatted correctly according to the specifications and formatting the final zine in a way that is functional and aesthetically pleasing.Mods are expected to:
❥ Treat all contributors with respect.
❥ Answer questions when able to.
❥ Meet regularly to discuss important details about the zine.
❥ Provide the appropriate support for the contributors.
❥ Communicate clearly when they will not be available for extended times.
